bummer, funny, le sigh, silly, tumblr

le bummer.

{via: tumblr.}

today i thought i had the most brilliant idea.
i even got somewhat excited
about the creative endeavors
i could have potentially embarked on…
but of course,
it had already been thunk.
(& yes i know thunk is not a word, i just wish it were…)
here was my idea:
a creative entity (blog, book, magazine, etc.)
focused on celebrity beauty, make-up tips,
or whatever was related.
& it could be called….

[but after much gloating to my family about such a triumphant concept, i decided to google my golden idea only to find that another mind somewhere in the interweb had already claimed such a clever treasure]

(ok, ok, i know it’s not THAT clever but i was smitten with it. ha!)
Happy Wednesday!

  1. Oh, that's the worst! I've run across actual phrases in books that are so word-for-word what I've written that I scream in agony and immediately go to my book and delete or revise the phrase. It doesn't seem fair that just because someone published something before I did that they get to claim it. Aaaagh. I feel your pain.

  2. i know what you mean. dannon and i thought up bicycle polo and thought we were so cool. only to discover san francisco already has TWO bicycle polo leagues. sigh…

  3. I love it! And you were great to think of it! (Though maybe not first, but who cares.) And that picture is from Stockholm. About ten seconds from my office. Gah, Stockholm looks dreary in November. Not now!

  4. I just wanted to tell you that I found your blog 2 minutes ago and already I LOVE IT, so thankyou 🙂

I also particularly adore all of your sidebar icons (Especially twitter) and you look so fun from your profile pic!
