freshman year, summer

baby im gonna miss you.

i can finally rest. finals are finished. the moving out of the dorms is done. & in all the hub-bub and chaos, i managed to clean out my car. & when i say clean out, i mean scrub, vacuum, the whole shaBANG. glorious….this being productive feeling is just GLORIOUS.

its crazy how much i miss KU already. even with all its ups & downs… many good times were had. thats for sure. 🙂

i miss some of my friends already. this could be a LONGGG summer.

watson, and red bulls, and linguistics–OH MY!

“Instead of studying for finals, what about just going to the Bahamas and catching some rays? Maybe you’ll flunk, but you might have flunked anyway; that’s my point.”

so here i sit at 2 a.m. in beautiful watson library studying for finals.

the stress is in the air and the coffee, red bulls, and pop are flowing strong. and the girl sitting in front of me has a very clever shirt which states on the back “20 ways to use a pussy” i kid you not. & that is all i am able to read from here. weird? yes. tacky? yes. most shocking shirt i have ever seen? no. anyway, my linguistics study guide is sitting here, mocking me. yea, the first half of the semester i didn’t understand is really starting to bite me in the ass. shit. well its ok. as long as im surrounded by good friends, plenty of dr. pepper, and can see the light at the end of the tunnel, ill be ok. in the meantime i suggest you check out this fabulous website i found & explore the place i call home 9 months out of the year. its really fascinating. if you take time to read this, i know you’ll love it. & if you need to put off studying for finals its a fabulous distraction. let me tell ya…
back to the books for now kids! until next time.

seeing as how my friday night was spent writing a paper auf deutsch until 4a.m…. i am starting to become worried about what lies ahead in the next two weeks, as my first year as a freshman draws close. this is probably what i am going to look like…

perez hilton

my guess is she’s just being miley.

thanks to perez hilton, i, too, have been swept up in the media frenzies going on in the world of entertainment lately. his blog keeps me up to date on the most recent hollywood gossip. his site is blog-a-licious trust me, you’ll wanna be sure to add it to your favs.
heres some stories i found to be intriguing from this past week:
1. Miley Cyrus. while most found this photo to be scandalous,

i am far more disturbed by this awkward pose with her dad Billy Ray, you know, “don’t break my heart, my achy breaky heart…”

thats just straight up weird. no denying it.
2. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon got engaged and married within pretty much the same minute. AND they didn’t sign any pre-nups, in hollywood, thats a bad move. i think kanye west said it best in his hit Golddigger: “If you ain’t no punk holla’ we want pre-nup WE WANT PRE-NUP!” Oh AND her engagement ring was the same ring Nick gave his previous ex-fiance in 2007. scandolous!

ok. i can’t put off my homework any longer. i’ve distracted myself with useless news long enough. o and i should probably figure out what to do in case there is a tornado because it seems as though my viewing of My Best Friend’s Wedding has been cut short due to a national weather service warning… eeek!!

bloggin, rod benson lovin'

ballin’ bloggin’… heck yes i came up with that on my own. jealous?

i have a new addiction to the wonderful world of blogging. after exploring the sea of celebrity blogs, i searched for athletes blogs & found a plethora of fascinating sites. my favorite, by far, former Cal Basketball player, now D-league, NBA hopeful Rod Benson. his blog was named #1 blog on SI.com’s “top five athletes” daily list scorecard.

picture from Slam magazine…
I knew it was going to be good when i read under the heading of the site
“Everybody has a story, mine just happens to be ridiculous.” I’m pretty convinced he and I were meant for each other. haha. we both seem to have some crazy lives!
this is one of my favorites entries…

but really, you should check it out. its pretty funny.
